Booking Terms & Conditions

These Booking Terms & Conditions ("Booking Conditions") apply to all bookings for flights, accommodation, events, tours, and other travel-related services (each a "Service," collectively "Services") made through the Alley Bookings website (www.alleybookings.com), mobile applications, or any related platform operated by ALLEY BOOKINGS LTD, a company registered in Nigeria, with its registered office at No. 32 Gwarzo Road, Bompai, Kano - Nigeria ("Alley Bookings," "we," "us," "our").

These Booking Conditions are supplemental to our main Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By making a booking ("Booking") through our Platform, you ("User," "you," "your") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions, as well as the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party service provider (the "Supplier"). If you do not agree with any part of these Booking Conditions, you must not proceed with your Booking.

1. Our Role as an Intermediary

Alley Bookings acts as an intermediary platform connecting you with Suppliers (such as airlines, hotels, event venues, tour operators). We do not own, operate, manage, or control the Services listed on our Platform. When you make a Booking, you are entering into a direct contract with the Supplier for the provision of their Service. Alley Bookings facilitates the booking process but is not a party to the contract between you and the Supplier regarding the actual Service provided. The Supplier's own terms and conditions will apply to your Booking and the provision of the Service.

2. The Booking Process

  • Search & Selection: You can search for Services based on your criteria on the Platform.
  • Information: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information for all travellers or participants included in the Booking (e.g., names as they appear on passports, contact details, dates of birth where required). You are responsible for any errors or omissions in the information provided.
  • Review: Before completing the Booking, carefully review all details, including dates, times, locations, traveller information, selected Service, and total price.
  • Acceptance: By clicking the final confirmation button (or equivalent action), you confirm your intention to enter into a binding contract with the relevant Supplier(s) subject to their terms and these Booking Conditions, and you authorise Alley Bookings to facilitate the Booking on your behalf, including processing payment.

3. Pricing, Taxes, and Fees

  • Prices: Prices displayed on the Platform for Services are provided by the Suppliers. While we strive for accuracy, prices are dynamic and subject to change until a Booking is confirmed and payment is successfully processed. Prices are typically displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or United States Dollars (USD) as indicated. Currency conversion tools may be provided for convenience, but the final transaction amount may vary based on exchange rates applied by your bank or card issuer.
  • What's Included: The price generally covers the specific Service booked (e.g., flight ticket, hotel room night, event entry). Inclusions vary by Service and Supplier; carefully review the description provided during the booking process.
  • Taxes and Fees: Prices may or may not include all applicable taxes (e.g., VAT), mandatory service charges, booking fees, resort fees, city taxes, tourism levies, or other charges.
    • Some taxes and mandatory fees may be included in the price displayed by Alley Bookings.
    • Other taxes, fees, or charges (local city taxes, resort fees, baggage fees, seat selection fees, tourism levies) may be payable by you directly to the Supplier upon arrival/check-in or at the point of service delivery. We will endeavour to indicate such potential additional charges where known, but the final determination rests with the Supplier and local regulations.
  • Errors: In the event of an obvious pricing error on the Platform, we reserve the right to correct the price or cancel the Booking, even after confirmation, and will offer you the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a refund.

4. Payment Requirements

  • Payment Methods: We accept payment through methods indicated on the Platform, primarily via our secure payment gateway partner (Paystack).
  • Payment Due: Full payment is typically required at the time of Booking to secure your reservation unless otherwise specified (options for partial payment or pay-at-hotel where offered by the Supplier).
  • Authorisation: By providing your payment details, you authorize Alley Bookings (or our payment processor) to charge the specified amount for the Booking. For some hotel bookings, the Supplier may process your payment directly, or we may pre-authorise your card.
  • Payment Failure: If payment is not successfully processed for any reason, your Booking may be automatically cancelled. We are not liable for any price changes or unavailability occurring due to payment failure.

5. Booking Confirmation

  • Confirmation Email: Once your Booking is successfully completed and payment is processed, you will typically receive a confirmation email from Alley Bookings within a reasonable timeframe. This email serves as acknowledgment of your Booking request being processed.
  • Supplier Confirmation: The actual confirmation of the Service is subject to the Supplier accepting the Booking. While most bookings are confirmed instantly, some may require final confirmation from the Supplier.
  • Check Details: It is your responsibility to check the confirmation email carefully and notify Alley Bookings immediately if you notice any discrepancies or errors. Failure to do so may impact your ability to use the Service. Ensure your email address is correct and check your spam/junk folder.
  • Booking Reference: Your confirmation will include a unique booking reference number. Please quote this number in any communications with Alley Bookings or the Supplier regarding your Booking.

6. Modifications and Cancellations

  • Policies Apply: All requests for modifications (changes) or cancellations of Bookings are subject to the specific terms and conditions of the relevant Supplier and Alley Bookings' Cancellation & Refund Policy. These policies vary significantly depending on the Service type (flight, hotel, event, tour), fare rules, rate type booked, and the Supplier.
  • Review Before Booking: The applicable cancellation and modification policy for your specific Booking will be displayed or referenced during the booking process and/or in your confirmation email. Please review these carefully before completing your Booking.
  • How to Request: Requests for modifications or cancellations should typically be made through the Alley Bookings Platform (if functionality exists) or by contacting our customer support.
  • Fees: Modifications and cancellations may incur fees imposed by the Supplier and/or an administration fee charged by Alley Bookings, as outlined in the applicable policies. Some Bookings may be non-refundable and non-changeable.
  • No-Shows: Failure to arrive for your flight, check-in for your accommodation, attend your event, or join your tour without prior cancellation according to the policy ("no-show") generally results in forfeiture of the entire amount paid, with no refund applicable.

7. Special Requests

  • If you have special requests (e.g., specific room type, bedding preference, dietary requirements, accessibility needs), you can indicate these during the booking process or by contacting us.
  • Alley Bookings will pass on all reasonable requests to the relevant Supplier. However, we cannot guarantee that any special request will be met. Fulfilment is subject to availability and confirmation by the Supplier.
  • Failure to meet a special request does not constitute a breach of contract by Alley Bookings or the Supplier (unless the request was explicitly confirmed as guaranteed by the Supplier in writing) and will not result in eligibility for a refund.

8. Travel Documents, Visas, and Health Requirements

  • User Responsibility: It is solely your responsibility to ensure that you, and all members of your party, possess all necessary and valid travel documents before starting your journey. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Valid passports (with sufficient validity beyond your return date as required by destination countries).
    • Necessary visas (entry visas, transit visas) for all countries you are travelling to or transiting through.
    • Required health certificates and vaccinations (e.g., Yellow Fever card).
    • Compliance with any other entry or exit requirements for the destination(s) and transit point(s).
  • Check Requirements: Requirements can change, so you must check the latest requirements with the relevant embassies, consulates, or government websites well in advance of your travel date.
  • Disclaimer: Alley Bookings accepts no liability if you or any member of your party are denied entry onto a flight or into any country, or suffer any other loss or expense, due to failure to possess the correct and valid passports, visas, health documents, or other required travel documentation, or failure to comply with any entry/exit requirements.

9. Supplier Terms and Responsibilities

  • By making a Booking, you agree to abide by the specific terms and conditions of the Supplier providing the Service (e.g., airline's conditions of carriage, hotel's check-in/check-out times and house rules, event venue's entry policies, tour operator's conduct guidelines). These are separate from Alley Bookings' terms.
  • The Supplier is solely responsible for the provision, quality, safety, and fulfilment of the Service you have booked. Any issues or complaints regarding the Service itself should primarily be addressed directly with the Supplier at the time they arise. Alley Bookings may assist in facilitating communication but is not responsible for resolving service delivery issues.

10. Liability

As an intermediary, Alley Bookings' liability is limited as set out in our main Terms of Service. We are not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, breaches, negligence, or performance failures of any Supplier, nor for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting from the Services provided by Suppliers.

11. Governing Law

These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
